Counterfeit Printing Website Redesign

This redesign project was created during my Digital UI/UX Design class in my 3rd year at AUArts. The assignment was to find a local business’s website and solve a UX/UI problem with your redesign. I chose Counterfeit Printing, a family owned local print shop based in Saskatoon. Counterfeit Printing’s website is very basic and simple, and it could use some more information, context, and credibility to compete with competitors. My main goal with this redesign was to create a better functioning navigation bar to easily guide users across the site, create a way for users to easily figure out the price of their potential purchase, without having to reach out for a quote, and create a fun and interactive website that incorporates good images, descriptions, and visual interest. For the visuals of the site, I wanted to keep their cool, retro style logo that they had and build the rest of the branding around that, while still give it a modern feel. I incorporated the colours, line work and drop shadows found in the logo throughout the rest of the website. All imagery was sourced from the original website, their social media, or Adobe Stock. The images for the services were all mocked up using Counterfeit Printing’s logo and brand colours to keep cohesion throughout the website. I designed my prototype from scratch in Figma.
